§ Mr. HoramThe Department of Health supports the childhood cancer research group. A new contract has been placed to run from 1 January 1996 to 31 December 2000 to a value of £350,000 per year. One of the main objectives of the core-funded programme is the development and management of the national registry of childhood tumours, which includes virtually all cases of cancer and leukaemia in children aged 0 to 14 in Great Britain.
