To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland at which location environmental improvement schemes have been completed; which schemes are presently under construction; what funds have been allocated for such schemes in each of the next three years; what proposals there are for an environmental improvement scheme at Killyleagh; and if he will make a statement. The following lists set out the locations where environmental improvement schemes are under construction. For each of the next three financial years, £2.7 million has been programmed by the Department of the Environment for environmental improvement schemes.

A scheme has been identified at High street, Castle place, Killyleagh, to link with a roads scheme. At present, it is programmed for 1998–99 at a cost of £200,000 approximately.
