§ Mr. BruceTo ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what estimate he has made of the number of visits made to the Salisbury tax office by local residents in the latest year for which information is available. [28998]
§ Mr. JackDuring the year to March 1996, 10,126 visits were made by members of the public to Salisbury tax office and tax inquiry centre. Although it is not possible to estimate the number of visits made by local residents, it is likely that the majority of these visits were made by individuals who either live or work in the Salisbury area.
