§ Mr. Gwilym JonesUnder the objective 5(b) rural Wales single programming document 1994–1999, 250 projects had been approved to receive European regional development fund grant assistance by 31 March 1996. The lists of selected projects and estimated individual grant amounts were published in Welsh Office press notices dated 24 August 1995, 5 February 1996 and 18 March 1996 and copies are available in the Library of the House. ERDF grant totalling around £36.7 million had been committed on projects with estimated eligible costs of £131.6 million, of which £5.8 million grant has been paid on expenditure up to 31 January 1996. The dates on which approval letters were issued will vary in each individual case.
