§ Mr. BaldryI have received a number of representations about this scheme. They relate mainly to the requirement for processors to give three days' notice of presentation of animals for slaughter and the penalties if the number actually presented does not tally with that notified in advance. My officials are pressing the EU Commission for a relaxation of these rules so as to make the scheme more flexible.
