§ Sir Nicholas BonsorThe United Kingdom recognised the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia—FRY—on 9 April 1996. We have now appointed our chargé d'affaires in Belgrade as ambassador. We expect the FRY to appoint an ambassador to the UK shortly.
