§ Mr. HowardPlanned staff numbers in the Home Office and its agencies are set out in annex 4 of my Department's annual report CM 3208 published in March, a copy of which is in the Library.
Permanent staff numbers are projected to fall by 1,045 between 1995–96 and 1998–99, of which 705 are in the Prison Service.
