253W
§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonI am satisfied that the fire brigades in Scotland are able to meet the nationally recommended standards of fire cover. Her Majesty's inspectorate of fire services for Scotland draws attention to any localised exceptions in the course of its inspections of brigades. It is for the fire authority concerned to take the appropriate action in any such case.
