To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment, pursuant to her answer of 28 February,Official Report, column 602, what statistics her Department collates on the number of lay inspectors who have undertaken inspections in the last five years. [21134]

To ask the Secretary of State for Education and employment how many independent schools have had a full Office for Standards in Eduction inspection in each year since 1993–94; and how many she expects to take place in 1996–97 and 1997–98. [21156]
