§ Mr. NewtonThe Select Committee on European Legislation published a report in July 1995 on the forthcoming intergovernmental conference. This addressed a number of issues including the European Community's legislative process and the arrangements for parliamentary scrutiny of European Community legislation. The Government responded to the report in November and look forward to receiving a further report from the Committee focusing in more detail on parliamentary scrutiny arrangements.
