§ Mr. Sproat[holding answer 25 June 1996]: No financial commitments have been made on behalf of the Government in connection with the capital costs of the millennium exhibition. The Millennium Commission is prepared to award a grant of up to £200 million. The involvement of the private sector is under negotiation.
