Pearson to Mr. Alex Carlile, dated 21 June 1996: The Home Secretary has asked me, in the absence of the Director General from the office, to reply to your recent Question about the number of prisoners who have achieved (a) basic, (b) standard and (c) enhanced privilege status. Information on the number of prisoners on the privilege levels of incentives schemes is not available centrally and could be provided only at disproportionate cost.
