§ Mr. NorrisThe register of British ships records legal ownership. Title proof is required in respect of merchant ships and pleasure vessels on part I of the register, and of 231W fishing vessels with full registration on part II of the register. Title proof is not required on part III—small ships—part IV—bareboat charter ships—or for fishing vessels with simple registration on part II of the register.
