To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what key targets he has set for the Disposal Sales Agency in 1996–97.

Since its launch in October 1994 the agency has brought in substantial revenues and has made significant efficiency savings. The key targets which have been set for the chief executive of the Disposal Sales Agency for this financial year are aimed at maintaining the momentum achieved in previous years through industrial participation and other efficiency measures.
- 1. To achieve disposal sales revenue of £80 million within budgetary cost allocation;
- 2. To secure efficiency savings of £4 million against the baseline of 1994–95 unit cost of generating £1 million of sales;
- 3. To increase to 85 per cent. the volume of receipts (excluding Government-to-Government) achieved through contractorised arrangements;
- 4. To achieve £1 million of sales on behalf of other Government departments and agencies.
