HC Deb 04 June 1996 vol 278 c383W
Mr. Morgan

To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will review the arrangements for the joint accounting and book-keeping of the NHS centre for coding and classification and Computer Aided Medical Systems Ltd. [31199]

Mr. Horam

The accounting and book-keeping arrangements for the national health service centre for coding and classification are the responsibility of the NHS executive, of which the centre is a part; the arrangements for Computer Aided Medical Systems Ltd. are the responsibility of that private company. There are no joint accounting or book-keeping arrangements, but the same financial consultant overseas the accounting and book-keeping at both CAMS and NHS CCC. This arrangement is being reviewed.
