§ Miss WiddecombeAt the end of March, 63 prisoners in Birmingham prison were recorded as being held under Immigration Act powers. At the end of April, 48 Prisoners were held; a breakdown by nationality is given in the table. Provisional information shows that 37 persons were discharged and deported from Birmingham prison during March and April.
