§ Mrs. Browning[holding answer 22 July 1996]: Model health certifications for intra-Community trade in sheep and goats are laid down in Council directive 91/68/EEC. The certifying veterinary officer is required to confirm that the animals were inspected on the day of certification, which must be no more than 48 hours prior to loading, and show no clinical sign of disease. The eartag number of each animal must be recorded on the certificate.
