To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment how many persons are presently on the modern apprenticeship scheme(a) nationally and (b) by training and enterprise council area; and if he will list for each subject area the number of modern apprenticeships and in each training and enterprise council area the percentage taking each subject area.
