As Chief Executive of the Defence Postal and Courier Services Agency I am responsible for the production and distribution of my Agency's annual report and accounts and I have been asked to reply to your Parliamentary Question to the Secretary of State for Defence, the Rt. Hon Michael Portillo MP, regarding the cost of publishing and distributing the Defence Postal and Courier Services Agency's 1995/96 annual report and accounts, and the number of copies printed.The number of copies printed was 2,000. The cost of publishing the report, which is borne by the Agency, was £11,627 and the cost of printing the report, which is borne by HMSO. was £11.600. Distribution costs will amount to around £40. Additionally MOD staff time and other minor costs were incurred, but these have not been quantified. Copies of the report are available from HMSO at £11.40 each.I hope this information is helpful.
