To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will investigate the reasons for the delay to the Tingewick bypass in Buckinghamshire and act to expedite matters. [38229]

The reasons for the delay to the Tingewick bypass are set out in my letter of 16 July 1996. Officials will make every effort to expedite a decision on this important local scheme once these issues have been satisfactorily resolved.
