§ Mr. CoxTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what records his Department collates in respect of re-offending by those convicted of sexual offences against children. [37786]
§ Mr. MacleanOffenders who are convicted of sexual offences against a child can be charged with any one of a number of offences. The legal categories of sexual offence do not always differentiate between child and adult victims. This means that the Department's centrally available records cannot be used to determine reconviction rates for offenders convicted of sexual offences against children.
