What is the situation with regard to a fisheries agreement with Senegal.

The current fisheries agreement between the European Community and Senegal is due to expire on 1st October 1996. A further agreement is currently being negotiated and a second round of talks was held in Brussels on 11th and 12th July. No agreement has yet been reached and a further round of negotiations will take place on 26th and 27th September.
