§ Mr. Gwilym JonesThe opening of the Aber improvement in September 1994 completed the A55 duelling across mainland north Wales. Since 1979, over £700 million has been spent on improving the 60 miles from Chester to Bangor, cutting journey times from over three hours to about one hour.
