§ Mr. HanleyOn 31 March 1996, the high commissions in the 14 Commonwealth countries in sub-Saharan Africa employed 463 British nationals and 701 indigenous nationals. Equivalent information for 31 March 1992 is not available from all high commissions. The eight which were able to provide figures report 382 British and 459 indigenous nationals.
