§ Mr. Michael ForsythI can assure the hon. Gentleman that we shall explore all appropriate means to assist British Aerospace to secure the site's long-term viability. Since 10 June, our officials have had extensive contacts with senior management of British Aerospace to seek to identify what scope may exist to help the company attract additional work to Prestwick. I am taking a close interest in the progress of these discussions.
