To ask the Secretary of State for Health (1) what representations he has received from the pharmaceutical services negotiating committee regarding the timetable of payments to pharmacists; [35151]

(2) if he will arrange for his Department to make 100 per cent. payments to pharmacists a month and a day after prescriptions are dispensed; and if he will make a statement. [35148]

I refer the hon. Member to the reply I gave the hon. Member for Dudley, West (Mr. Pearson) on 8 March at column397. The payment timetable was also raised by representatives of the pharmaceutical services negotiating committee on 6 June.
