Additions to the register include instances of patients registering with a dentist after a break in attendance and instances of reinstatement of registrations that have been cancelled in error. Some dentists have contracts in more than one London Borough Council area. Where appropriate, these dentists have been included in the calculation for each London Borough Council area in which they are under contract.

Counts relate to registrations for which payments were authorised during the year. Payments are made one month in arrears.
