§ The Attorney-GeneralThe Crown Prosecution Service forwarded to my Department a file of the evidence which resulted from the investigation into the activities of John Bennett and Keith Wilson by the South Wales police. The evidence was considered by the Solicitor-General who agreed to grant his fiat to prosecute both men under the Prevention of Corruption Act 1906. Neither the Solicitor-General nor I have had any direct contact with the South Wales police.
