§ Mr. HanleyImplementation of the interim agreement has continued rapidly; the Israeli defence forces have left all major towns in the west bank apart from Hebron. Talks have also begun again between Israel and the Syrians, and we hope that the path will soon be clear to a lasting settlement in the middle east.
