§ Mr. BowisThe management and operation of the special hospitals are the responsibility of the Special Hospitals Service Authority. It is not our practice to forward parliamentary questions to health authorities for reply, but it is open to the hon. Member to raise these matter with the chairman of the authority.
§ Mr. PrenticeTo ask the Secretary of state for Health if he will list the membership of the Special Hospitals Service Authority, together with the dates of appointment and retirement. [7987]
§ Mr. BowisThe members of the authority and the dates on which they were first appointed are listed as follows. We have announced proposals for abolishing the authority from 1 April 1996 and shall shortly be laying the necessary regulations to give effect to this.
