§ Mr. KirkhopeNo formal request has been received from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees but when the UNHCR co-ordinator for former Yugoslavia briefed missions in Geneva recently, he said that accurate information was needed from countries of asylum on how many refugees and displaced persons they had; where they were from, where they wanted to return to, and when. This information is not available centrally and could be obtained only by contacting each person individually. We are considering the request.
