§ Mr. NorrisMr. Martin Helm left the Department on 31 December 1995. He was paid a severance payment calculated in accordance with the rules of the civil service compensation scheme. Such payments are based on age, pay and length of service at the time of leaving. A payment of compensation in lieu of notice was also paid. It is not customary of divulge the value of payments made to individuals.
