§ Mrs. Browning[holding answer 9 February 1996]: Documents have been received from Channel 4 over a period of time concerning the allegations made in the "Dispatches" programme. An inquiry into those allegations has been instigated by this Department. Mr. Stirling is still designated as a local veterinary inspector, as are other members of his practice, and continues to carry out his duties at the export lairages under close Ministry supervision.
