§ Sir Paul BeresfordThe Government have no plans to carry out a formal assessment of the French contracte de ville system. However, we keep abreast of this and related policies in other countries through regular informal contacts and published literature. This includes a research study entitled, "Management Innovations in Urban Policy: Lessons from France" undertaken for the Local Government Management Board (1994).
