To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment what was the average cost per pupil aged(a) under five years, (b) five to seven years, (c) seven to 11 years, (d) 11 to 16 years and (e) 16 to 18 years in each English local education authority in 1974, 1979, 1990 and the latest year for which figures are available.
