§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonFood poisoning is caused by a number of different agents including bacteria and a wide range of research projects have been funded by the Scottish Office over the last 10 years into specific causes of food poisoning such as E. coli 0157, campylobacter and listeria.
Details of projects funded are listed in the Scottish Office Department of Health's health bulletin and Scottish Office Agriculture, Environment and Fisheries Department's programme of commissioned research and development publication. Research grant holders are encouraged to disseminate research findings as appropriate.
