HC Deb 03 December 1996 vol 286 c575W
Mr. Vaz

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the number of outstanding planning appeals for each district authority in England. [7314]

Sir Paul Beresford

The provision of information on planning appeals is the responsibility of the Planning Inspectorate. I have asked the inspectorate's chief executive, Mr. Shepley, to write to the hon. Member.

Letter from C. J. Shepley to Mr. Keith Vaz, dated 2 December 1996: The Secretary of State has asked me to reply to your Question about the number of outstanding planning appeals in England. The information is enclosed. As the tables are too long to be printed in the Official Report, arrangements will be made for a copy to be deposited in the Library.
