§ Mr. Robin SquireThe Department for Education and Employment is responsible for two related directives which require implementation in the UK and have been adopted in the last three years
Directive 94/38/EC of 26 July 1994 amending annexes C and D to Council directive 92/51/EEC on a second general system for the recognition of professional education and training to supplement directive 89/48/EEC;Directive 95/43/EC of 20 July 1995 amending annexes C and D to Council directive 92/51/EEC on a second general system for the recognition of professional education and training to supplement directive 89/48/EEC.To date, no UK legislation has been introduced as a result of the directives, although legislation in the form of regulations under section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 is being prepared for introduction later in the year.
