§ Mr. AingerTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many members he will appoint to each of the Welsh community health councils; how many he appointed before 1 April; and how many he has appointed to date. [26800]
§ Mr. RichardsCommunity health councils in Wales have between 16 and 20 members. My right hon. Friend is responsible for appointing two members to each council; none of these has yet been appointed. The balance of the appointments are filled by representatives of the voluntary sector and nominees of unitary authorities. Most of these members are in place.
