§ Mrs. Gillian ShephardThe total number of applications received for post-graduate certificate of education courses in mathematics, physics, chemistry and combined science starting in 1995 was around 4,600; about 5,000 applications were received for courses starting in 1994. Applications are still being received for courses starting in 1996, with around 2,400 applications received up to 3 April.
