§ Mrs. GillanThe results of a Government-funded research project to examine the effectiveness of conductive education were published in 1993. Since 1994–95, the amounts supported under the grants for educational support and training programme for special educational needs training have been as follows:
- 1994–95: £9.7 million
- 1995–96: £10.5 million
- 1996–97: £10.3 million.
It is open to local education authorities to use this programme to support the training of teachers in conductive education.
