To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment how many compliance cost assessments were produced by her Department in 1995; and if she will place copies in the Library. [25260]

Mr. Robin Squire

The Department for Education and Employment or its predecessors produced two compliance cost assessments in 1995:

  1. (a) for the Activities Centres (Young Person's Safety) Bill; and
  2. (b) for the employment code of practice under the Disability Discrimination Act 1985.
