The increase will be offset by lower expenditure on class I, vote 3 and will not, therefore, add to the planned total of public expenditure. There is no change to the block Defence cash limit.
As a result, the Ministry of Defence operating costs limit will be increased by 180 million from £16,587,218,000 to £16,767,218,000.
