§ Mr. SoamesThe fire engines provided on Merseyside belong to the Home Office. Military manpower and equipment is being provided, for which additional costs—which include such items as subsistence and accommodation, transport, fuel and other consumables—will be recovered. The costs identified to date for the deployment on 17 August are in the order of £5,000.
