My Department funds the British Film Commission, which actively markets to overseas producers, the United Kingdom's considerable wealth and diversity of locations, facilities and industry expertise.
§ 28. Mr. Simon Coombs
To ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage what representations she has received on the Government's review of the film industry. 
§ Mrs. Bottomley
Since publication of the Government's policy paper on the British film industry in June, I have received seven representations from various members of the British film industry. On the whole these have given a very positive response to the paper, generally welcoming the various initiatives we announced.
