To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what proportion of the countryside access scheme costs will be incurred in Wales in 1995–96; and if he will make a statement. [34986]

Approximately 3 per cent. of the total payments to farmers for the countryside access scheme—which operates in England and Wales only—will be incurred in Wales in 1995–96.
