§ Miss WiddecombeMy right hon. and learned Friend made a statement on 16 October 1995 about the report by General Sir John Learmont which made a number of recommendations about the management of the Prison Service. He has undertaken to come back to the House with a full response to those recommendations in due course. He will also take into account the results of consultation within the Prison Service on the recommendations of the senior management review.
