Mr. Raynsford

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will incorporate measures in the forthcoming housing Bill to remedy problems confronting leaseholders. [2403]

I am aware of the concerns which have been expressed. We are considering the possibility of framing appropriate measures.

Mr. Raynsford

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what parliamentary timetable he envisages for the forthcoming Housing Bill; and if it is his intention that it will include measures relating to construction contracts. [2404]

Mr. Curry

We are finalising legislation to make better provision for housing and to lay the foundations for a construction industry based on partnership and co-operation, and hope to publish it shortly.
