§ Mr. BowisThe support force for children's residential care completed its two-year programme of activity in September 1995. It has produced a report of this work. Copies of the report have been placed in the Library.
This report demonstrates the significant contribution made by the support force in its two-year span. I am committed to a continuing programme of action to safeguard the future of quality residential child care as an option of choice. My Department is considering the most appropriate and effective means of taking forward and reviewing the work that the support force has started.
