§ Mr. Heathcoat-AmoryIt is estimated that the average amount of VAT paid by non-retired households with one or more children on average disposable income was £905 in 1979 and £1,495 in 1993, both at 1993 prices. Figures for future years will depend on the purchasing decisions of individuals.
